Successful WR season
Bobcat Payton Poole pulls in a pass during the semifinals of the Class 2A state playoffs on Friday night at Junction City. Walnut Ridge ended a successful season with a 42-6 loss to the Dragons.

Three of Hunter's scores came in a seven-minute stretch in the second half when the Dragons scored 28 points to break the game open.
The only points of the first half came on Hunter's 28-yard touchdown pass with 6:13 to play in the second quarter to give Junction City a 7-0 lead at the break.
Hillcrest boys are WBC champsThe 54th Annual WBC Tournament concluded Saturday with Hillcrest's boys and Marmaduke's girls claiming titles in their respective divisions.
Hoxie boys drop
The Osceola Seminoles handed the Hoxie senior boys their first loss of the season in a 67-65 nail-biter on Nov. 27 at Hoxie.
S-H girls beat WRSloan-Hendrix's Ashley Ward sank the game-winning basket, as the Lady Greyhounds slipped past Walnut Ridge 52-50 in senior girls basketball on Nov. 27 at Walnut Ridge.
Manis signs to play volleyball at CRCSarah Manis, a senior at Hoxie High School, signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould during a ceremony on Friday.
WR players receive
Sixteen members of the Walnut Ridge senior high football team have received postseason honors for their play during the 2012 season.
