Hoxie defeats Maynard

The Hoxie Mustangs traveled to Maynard on Nov. 20 and defeated the Tigers 89-60 in senior boys basketball action.

Hoxie made short work of the Tigers, jumping to a 33-12 lead in the first quarter. The Mustangs led 59-30 at halftime and 76-45 after three periods.

Colton Watson was high-point man for the Mustangs, with 24 points. Noah Adamson scored 18 points. Slade Sullens finished with 15 points, and Jacob Defries added 14.

Brookland

Hoxie's Lady Mustangs fell to the Brookland Lady Bearcats 70-46 on Nov. 19.

Brandy Alls led Hoxie with 15 points. Sara Manis and Courtney Sears had eight points apiece. Maddi Woodard finished with seven points, and Krista Coffell had six. Kristen Carter added two points.

Brookland also won a junior high girls game 33-26.

Katelyn Fitzgerald had eight points, and Behka Kopp added seven for Hoxie. Kelsey Ward had four points, and Cheyenne Hatfield added three points. Krista VanKirk and Brooke Willfond had two points apiece.
