Grogan signs with UO Sooners
Lee Grogan of Champions Gymnastics Center in Paragould signed his letter of intent to the University of Oklahoma last Wednesday. Lee accepted a scholarship to compete in gymnastics for the Oklahoma Sooners next fall.
Lee is the son of Bill and Sharon Grogan of Paragould, and his trainer is his uncle, Darrin Grogan of Paragould.
He is the grandson of Sue Broughton of Jonesboro and formerly of Walnut Ridge and the late Bob Broughton.
The University of Oklahoma has a rich history of gymnastics that includes many national, world and Olympic medalists. In the 2012 Summer Olympics, five of the eight gymnastics team members were current or former Oklahoma gymnasts.
