Colton Watson scored 33 points to lead Hoxie past Manila 66-59 in the Mustang's 3A-3 Conference basketball opener on Friday at Hoxie.
Hoxie led 14-12 after the first quarter, 29-28 at halftime and 50-44 after three periods.
Jacob Defries had 14 points, and Tristan Privett added 10 for Hoxie.
In junior high action, Lucas Willfond knocked down five three-pointers to lead Hoxie past Manila 48-34. James Johnson had 14 points, and Tanner Sullens added 12 points.
The senior Mustangs opened the season with a 62-55 victory over Flippin in the Highland Classic on Nov. 12. Watson led Hoxie with 17 points.
In junior boys action, Hoxie defeated host Highland 30-24, behind Alex Carpenter's 11 points.
