Lady Mustangs beat

Hoxie's Lady Mustangs basketball team improved to 2-0 in 3A-3 Conference play with a 70-44 thrashing of Osceola on Thursday at Hoxie.
Brandy Alls scored 25 points, and Krista Coffell followed with 23 for Hoxie.
Hoxie's junior girls fell to Osceola 26-19.
The Lady Mustangs survived a late rally by Harrisburg to defeat the Lady Hornets 59-56 on Nov. 12 at Hoxie.
Harrisburg hit a pair of three-pointers to close to within two points in the closing seconds. A free-throw by Amanda Moskop pushed Hoxie's lead to three points with 3.8 seconds remaining. Coffell stole Harrisburg's inbounds pass to deny the Lady Hornets a final shot.
Alls led Hoxie in scoring with 26 points, and grabbed five rebounds. Courtney Sears hit eight-of-nine free throws and finished with 14 points. Coffell had 11 points. Moskop finished with five points, and Sara Manis added three points. Coffell and Sears each had seven rebounds.
Harrisburg won a junior girls contest 50-29.
Krista VanKirk and Sequoia Irvin each had eight points for Hoxie. Irvin also had a team-high seven rebounds. Bekah Kopp had five points, and Angel Morris and Katelyn Fitzgerald each added three points. Devyn Pollard and Cheyenne Hatfield had one point apiece.
