BR homecoming is FridayBlack Rock High School will host its basketball homecoming on Friday as the Zebras host the Maynard Tigers. The junior boys team will play at 5 p.m., followed by the senior boys team. Homecoming royalty will be presented prior to the senior boys game. Members of the royalty are: senior maids, Christian Ervin, daughter of Clint and Candi Ervin of Imboden; Desirea Grissom, daughter of Dave and Dawnia Grissom of Hoxie; and Whitney Meeks, daughter of Gary and Candi Meeks of Powhatan; 11th-grade maid, Rebecca Simpson, daughter of Darrel Simpson and Timmy and C.J. Green, all of Black Rock; 10th-grade maid, Lindsay Rivers, daughter of Melanie Rivers and Danny Wright, both of Powhatan; ninth-grade maid, Destyni Caldwell, daughter of Jeremy and Melissa Beary of Powhatan; eighth-grade maid, Danielle Beary, daughter of Mitchell and Stacy Nunally of Black Rock and Jeremy and Melissa Beary of Powhatan; and seventh-grade maid, Haven Reynolds, daughter of Joe and Mandy Reynolds of Powhatan. Pages are Jeffery Whitlow, son of Britt and Mary Whitlow of Black Rock; Natalie Jackson, daughter of Scott Jackson and Angela Rosales, both of Black Rock; Laney Horton, daughter of Derek and Amanda Horton of Black Rock; and Kobe Morse, son of Morgan and Lori Morse of Powhatan. The student council is sponsoring homecoming activities. A homecoming dance will also be held for students in seventh through 12th grades in the cafeteria immediately following the games.
