Travis Davis and Terren Prichard of Sedgwick have announced the birth of a son, on Oct. 18, 2012, at St. Bernard's Birthcare Center in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed six pounds, 10 ounces, and has been named Aiden Shane Davis.

Grandparents are Sheila Becker and James and Vaness Gray, all of Sedgwick; Mark Prichard of Trumann and Carl Jr. and Dora Davis of Paragould.

Great-grandparents are James and Thelma Becker and Buck Greer, all of Jonesboro; Larry and Clara Fortenberry of Bono, Hank and Carol Quinn of Hot Springs and Carl Davis of Paragould.

Braxton Rayne Lee

Billy and Amanda Lee of Annieville have announced the birth of a son, born on Oct. 23, 2012, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed eight pounds, three ounces, and has been named Braxton Rayne Lee. He has two brothers, Trey and River.

Grandparents are Jackie Bradley of Imboden, Billy and Sandra Lee of Annieville and David Bradley of Ravenden.

Great-grandparents are William and Aline Tilley of Datto and Imogene Bradley of Ravenden.

Ryleigh Nicole Walker

Brent and Caitlyn Walker of Imboden have announced the birth of a daughter, on Oct. 17, 2012, at St. Bernard's Birthcare Center in Jonesboro.

The baby weighed eight pounds, six ounces, and has been named Ryleigh Nicole Walker. She has one brother, Jaiden, three.

Grandparents are Tony and Thea Baxter of Pocahontas and Darrell and Vicki Walker of Imboden.

Great-grandparents are Jean Kowalchik of Pocahontas and Hubert Liles of Imboden.

Weddings/Engagements

Emery ~ Foley

Mark and Kristin Emery of Lake City have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Morgan Lyndsey Emery, to Spencer Jordan Foley, son of Ben and Lisa Foley of Walnut Ridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rick and Janet Brewer of Jonesboro and Melton and Faye Emery of Caraway.

She is a 2009 graduate of Riverside High School and is a student at Arkansas State University, where she plans to complete an education degree in December of 2013. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization and the Physical Education Club.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Dot and Gladys Foley, who lived at Smithville, the late Zaniel Haney, who lived at O'Kean, and the late Johnie and Henrietta Stone, who lived at Walcott.

He is a 2004 graduate of Lynn High School and a 2008 graduate of Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, where he was a member of the Eagles baseball team and member of Professional Business Leaders. He is a regional account manager with Optus, Inc. of Jonesboro.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lake City.

All friends and relatives are invited to the ceremony and reception, which will follow in the church's family life center.

Redden ~ Wallin

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mark Redden of Skene, Miss., have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsey Nicole Redden, to Michael Lewis Wallin Jr., son of Michael Wallin Sr. of Walnut Ridge and Tommi Crawford Teeter of Branson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Matthews Barlow of Cleveland, Miss., Paul Wesley Barlow Jr. of Winnsboro, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Redden.

She attended Mississippi State University and Delta State University, where she earned bachelor's degrees in biology and chemistry in 2009. She also recently completed a bachelor's degree in nursing at Delta State,

She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority and is active in the Lawrence County chapter of Circle of Friends. She is employed as an independent consultant with Rodan and Fields Dermatology.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Crawford of Harrisburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Wallin.

He is a graduate of Black River Technical College with a degree in aviation maintenance and received his pilot's license from Flying Tigers Aviation in Rayville, La.

He is part owner and operator of Wallin Agri Aviation in Walnut Ridge.

The couple will exchange vows on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Skene Baptist Church in Skene, Miss., followed by a reception at the Cleveland Country Club.

Ruth I. Barnett

Ruth Irene Foster Barnett, 87, of Corinth, Miss., died Oct. 27, 2012, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth.

Born Dec. 12, 1924, at Swifton, she was the daughter of Noel and Sally Middleton Foster. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Barnett; a son, Jimmy Koller; a daugher-in-law, Ruth Koller; two brothers, Melvin Foster and Fred Foster; two grandchildren, Eddie Burrell Jr. and Mary Burrell; and a great-grandson, Rudy.

Survivors include a son, Robert F. Koller, Mascouth, Ill.; a daughter, Betty Koller Burrell and husband Billy, Corinth; a stepson, Sam Barnett and wife Shirley; six grandchildren, Eddie Burrell, Noel Koller, Dowell Koller, Patricia Smith, Janice Koller and Natalie Wilson; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Danny Ray Beardsley

Danny Ray Beardsley, 72, of Hoxie, died Oct. 26, 2012, at Jonesboro Health Care.

Born May 16, 1940, in Bell City, Mo., he was a machinist and was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenice McEntire Beardsley, on July 28, 2012, whom he married Nov. 17, 1962; his parents, Lee and Elmina Shell Beardsley; and two sisters.

Survivors include a son, David Beardsley and wife Sharon, Jonesboro; a daughter, Christina Hodge, Blytheville; a sister, Lavonna Bradley and husband Junior, Conway; five brothers, Joe Beardsley and wife Helen, Farmington, Mo., Bob Beardsley, Rockford, Ill., Gary Beardsley and wife Shelby, Advance, Mo., Larry Beardsley and wife Ruth, Phenix City, Ala., and Charles Beardsley and wife Pat, Harrisburg, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Betty Sharp, Walnut Ridge; a brother-in-law, Danny McEntire and wife Teresa, Alicia; five grandchildren, Amanda Murry, Desiree Beardsley, Mica McComb, Brandon Richards and Joshua Beardsley; and a great-grandson.

A memorial service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bryan Funeral Home with John Bailey officiating.

Andrea Renee Benham

Andrea Renee Benham, 22, of Manila, died Oct. 23, 2012, along with her sister, Felecia Jo Davis, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Jackson County.

Born March 17, 1990, she was formerly of Imboden. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Brandy Beasley; and her grandparents, Velmer and Juanita Beasley.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Benham; two sons, Carson Benham and Kaden Benham, both of the home; a daughter, Taylor Benham, of the home; her father, Billy Beasley, Imboden; her mother, Renee Davis, Trumann; three brothers, Billy Beasley Jr., Alicia, Derrek Beasley, Powhatan, and Ben Cody Stephens, Imboden; two sisters, Stephanie Beasley-Mondy, Hoxie, and Emily Mitchell, Paragould; grandparents, Susan Collier and Hal Collier, Ravenden; grandfather, Billy Davis and grandmother Linda Davis, Black Rock.

Funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Larry Rogers officiating. Burial was in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock.

Pallbearers were Wesley Greer, Brandon Ingram, Seth Towles, Aaron Slusser, Timothy Neal and Herschel Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Teddy Sharp and Ray Shield.

Frank T. Bidwell

Frank T. Bidwell, 100, of Madison, S.D., brother of Edith Kelley of Walnut Ridge, died Oct. 1, 2012, at Bethel Lutheran Home in Madison. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and saw action in major battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Madison under the direction of Ellsworth Funeral Home. Military honors were provided by the Madison American Legion and VFW. Jessie Maye Blake

Jessie Maye Seel Blake, 89, formerly of Jonesboro, died Oct. 23, 2012, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia.

Born Aug. 14, 1923, near Sedgwick, she was the daughter of George and Susie Parker. She was retired from St. Bernards after more than 20 years of service in the dietary department.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Seel and Alfred Blake; a daughter, Gayle Connor; and a granddaughter, Stacy Connor.

Survivors include a son, Harold Seel, Bismarck; a sister, Joyce Danner, Rockford, Ill.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Friday at 11 a.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Burial was in Trinity Cemetery.

Felecia Jo Davis

Felecia Jo Davis, 25, of Trumann, and her unborn son, Zaden Wayne, died Oct. 23, 2012, along with her sister, Andrea Benham, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Jackson County.

Born July 4, 1987, she was formerly of Imboden. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Brandy Beasley; and her grandparents, Velmer and Juanita Beasley.

Survivors include a daughter, Delilah Renee Williams, of the home; her father, Billy Beasley, Imboden; her mother, Renee Davis, Trumann; three brothers, Billy Beasley Jr., Alicia, Derrek Beasley, Powhatan, and Ben Cody Stephens, Imboden; two sisters, Stephanie Beasley-Mondy, and Emily Mitchell, Paragould; Hoxie; grandparents, Susan Collier and Hal Collier, Ravenden, and Billy Davis and Linda Davis, Black Rock.

Funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Larry Rogers officiating. Burial was in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock.

Pallbearers were Will Collier, Ricky Slusser, Cody Slusser, Justin McLemore, Kevin Seymore and Scotty Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were Teddy Sharp and Ray Shield.

Brooks Vaughn Glenn

Brooks Vaughn Glenn, 87, of Lynn, died Oct. 28, 2012, in Walnut Ridge.

Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Lynn, he was the son of William and Effie Erwin Glenn, and a lifelong resident of Lawrence County. He organized the Faith Missionary Baptist Church at Eaton in 1956, and served as pastor of the church until 1975. He was a World War II Army veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Glenn and Gene Lantz Glenn; five brothers, Walter Glenn, Bob Glenn, Roy Glenn, John Glenn and Floyd Glenn; and five sisters, Ellen Lewis, Ethel Nunnally, Jessie Martin and infants Wilma Glenn and Rhoda Glenn.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Isophene Lynch Glenn; two daughters, Lanell King and husband Tommy, Lynn, and Nona Dunlap and husband Terry, Gulfport, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral is Thursday at 2 p.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Eaton with Jeremy Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home. Military honors will be accorded.

Pallbearers will be Randy Glenn, Brent Glenn, David Glenn, Shawn Dunlap, Casey Dunlap and Randy Budnik.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the church.

Marvin R. Gunter

Marvin R. "Buddy" Gunter, 63, of Smithville, died Oct. 25, 2012, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel Woods Gunter; a brother, four sisters and two grandchildren, Maria Pereira and Anselmo Lepe-Soltero.

Survivors include his wife, Vonnie Gunter; two sons, Brandon Gunter, Nevada, and Andres Gunter, Smithville; three daughters, Brandy Bedford, Fort Irwin, Calif., Michelle Shaffer, Black Rock, and Anita Soltero Lopez, Jonesboro; two brothers, James Gunter and John Gunter; five sisters, Melba Straver, Sadie McCall, Mary Brown, Mable Gunter and Brenda Parrish; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

All services are private and will be held at the family home. Emerson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
