Two killed in separate accidents
Two separate accidents over the past week resulted in the death of Tyler Crews, 20, of Cave City, formerly of Saffell, and Thomas N. Goff Sr., 74, of Eaton.
Crews, a 2010 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Strawberry, was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 3.
According to Trooper Jeremy Conner with the Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred at 7:22 p.m. in Evening Shade.
The 2007 Dodge truck that Crews was driving westbound on Highway 56 failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the highway, overturning several times and ejecting the driver.
Goff died as a result of injuries from a one-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon.
The accident occurred at 1:50 p.m. on Highway 25, north of Lynn. According to Cp. Creston Hutton with the Arkansas State Police, Goff was driving a 1993 Chevy truck northbound when the vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Goff was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and then St. Bernards Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
