serve community
As part of their orientation, 12 groups of freshmen from Williams Baptist College participated in community service work on Monday.
The activity, called Freshmen Service Day, took groups to various locations in the area to assist with special projects as needed. Some of the locations they worked included: the Lawrence County Exceptional School in Portia, First Baptist Church Preschool, the Guitar Walk at Cavenaugh Park, Stewart Park, Wings of Honor Museum, a nursing center and the Salvation Army in Pocahontas.
The freshmen arrived on Saturday and began their orientation activities. Williams held registration on Tuesday, and classes began today.
