Developers expanding NorthRidge

The NorthRidge subdivision in Walnut Ridge is in the process of expanding. The housing development is located on the north side of town beyond Pocahontas Road, and has proved to be an attractive addition to the city.

Crowned Miss LawCo.

Morgan Danielle Woodard was crowned the 2012 Miss Lawrence County on Saturday night at the Bill McCurley Gymasium at Imboden.

Justices working on error
in E-911 budget process

The Lawrence County Quorum Court held a special meeting on Aug. 7 to formulate a plan to offset the county's $241,000 E-911 deficit.

Municipal office
filings continuing

The filing period for those seeking election to municipal offices will continue until noon on Friday. Municipal offices will be voted on in the Nov. 6 General Election.

Airport commission discusses
old military hangar, repairs

The Old Military Hangar at the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport has been included in the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program and will be nominated to the National Register of Historic Places, according to Dan Coker, chairman of the Walnut Ridge Airport Commission.
