claims
two lives
A Sunday night accident claimed two lives and seriously injured a third person.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Joshua Lynn Hall, 29, of Walnut Ridge was pronounced dead at the scene, and Kayla Eileen Stone, 22, of Alicia was pronounced dead at The Med in Memphis.
Both were passengers in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup driven by Anthony D. Nicholas, 22, of Hoxie. Nicholas was airlifted to The Med.
Cpl. Kevin Bell reported the accident occurred at 10:09 p.m. when the truck left the roadway on Highway 67 just north of Highway 90 in Randolph County and struck a tree.
An obituary for Hall can be found on page 3A of this week's edition. Arrangements for Stone were not available at press time.
