Hoxie tracksters compete

The Hoxie High School senior high track teams were in action in a pair of meets recently. The teams competed in the Arnold Relays, hosted by Paragould High School, on April 23, and the Redskin Relays at Pocahontas on April 19.

Senior boys

Hunter Wilson won first place in the shot put at both meets, while Dillon Littlejohn earned a pair of third-place finishes in the mile run.

Also at the Redskin Relays, Robert Posey won the triple jump with an effort of 39'8", and Mack Morris qualified for the state track meet in the pole vault with a vault of 12'.

Senior girls

Krista Coffell won the pole vault event at the Arnold Relays with a vault of 11'8", which qualified her for the state meet.

At the Redskin Relays, Coffell placed second and qualified for the state meet in the high jump with a leap of 4'10". She also placed in the triple jump, long jump and 100-meter hurdles.
