BRHS announces honor graduates

Principal David Foley has announced honor graduates for Black Rock High School for the 2011-12 school year.

Valedictorians are Sara Roby, daughter of Pat and Robyn Roby of Black Rock; and Rebecca Gill, daughter of Marcia Gill of Pocahontas and Joey Gill of Walnut Ridge.

Salutatorian is Jason Harper, son of Chris and Sarah Harper of Walnut Ridge.

Other honor graduates are Sarah Penn, daughter of Joe and Fawnda Penn of Portia; and Aftyn Anderson, daughter of Tammi Anderson of Davenport, Iowa, and Mark Anderson of Black Rock.

The graduation ceremony is set for May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Black Rock School Multipurpose Building.
