Lady Cats drop games

The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats softball team came out on the short end of three high-scoring contests last week.

The Lady Cats fell to Buffalo Island Central 23-11 on Thursday at Stewart Park.

For Walnut Ridge, Sabrina Knight batted 3-for-4 and scored three runs. Brittany Dobbs had three hits and scored two runs. Raven Dobbs also went 3-for-4, and Hannah Massey had two hits and scored twice.

Walnut Ridge traveled to Piggott on April 3. The Lady Mohawks slipped past the Lady Bobcats 9-8 as Miranda Ermert drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Knight, Raven Dobbs and Hannah Doane each had two hits and scored two runs. Makayla Daniels also added two hits.

Marmaduke defeated Walnut Ridge 16-9 on April 2 at Stewart Park. Knight and Brittany Dobbs each had two hits and scored two runs.
