Hoxie's Krista Coffell easily clears the bar during the high jump at a practice meet held at Pocahontas on Thursday. Hoxie also competed in a recent meet at Corning, during which Coffell won the pole vault, the high jump, the triple jump, the long jump and the 110-meter hurdles.

win honors at meet
The Hoxie senior high track teams competed in a meet at Corning recently.
The Lady Mustangs finished in second place with a total of 100 points. Krista Coffell won the high point award with 50 points, while Brandy Alls was third with 34 points.
Coffell placed first in five events. She won the pole vault with a vault of 10'6", the high jump (4'8"), the triple jump (32'5"), the long jump (15') and the 110-meter hurdles (18.53 seconds).
Alls won the 400-meter run with a time of 1:13 and the 800-meter run (2:50). She also placed second in the long jump (13'2"), triple jump (28'5") and the pole vault (8').
Kayla Coffell won the discus throw with a toss of 76'5", and was third in the shot put (25'9").
Eric Moore won the pole vault with a vault of 10'9", and was third in the triple jump (35'9").
Robert Posey won the 200-meter run with a time of 25.12 seconds, and was second in the 100-meter run (12 seconds), long jump (17'8") and the triple jump (36'8").
Devin Roberts placed first in the high jump with a leap of 5'6". He was also third in the 100-meter run (12.3 seconds) and the 200-meter run (25.76 seconds).
The Hoxie 4x100-meter relay finished first with a time of 49.3 seconds. The team included Moore, Posey, Roberts and Matt Shimasaki.
