Hayes seeks re-election as judge
Judge Larry Hayes has announced that he will seek another term as Lawrence County District Court judge.
During his career in Lawrence County, Judge Hayes has had a private law practice, has served as a juvenile referee, deputy prosecuting attorney and city attorney.
For the last several years, he has served solely as district court judge.
Judge Hayes graduated with honors from Arkansas State University and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Except for a couple of months following graduation, Judge Hayes' entire legal career has been in Lawrence County.
"I have been around for a while and I think everyone pretty well knows who I am, my abilities and how I operate," Judge Hayes said. "Through the years, I have enjoyed my work and have taken my duties as a public servant seriously. With your support and help, I will continue to do a good job for the people of Lawrence County."
Hayes is married to Carolyn Hayes, former circuit clerk and lifelong resident of Lawrence County. Carolyn is now serving as clerk/treasurer for the City of Walnut Ridge.
