WR, CRA split wins

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats defeated Crowley's Ridge Academy 48-45 in senior boys basketball Friday at Walnut Ridge.

The game was tied 23-23 at halftime before Walnut Ridge opened up a nine-point advantage in the third quarter at 37-28. The Bobcats held off a CRA rally in the final period to claim the victory.

Range Weeks led Walnut Ridge with 17 points, while Zach Crisler added 12 points.

A big fourth quarter lifted CRA's Lady Falcons to a 50-43 win over Walnut Ridge in a senior girls contest.

Walnut Ridge held a 37-32 lead at the end of the third quarter, but CRA outscored the Lady Bobcats 18-6 in the final period to take the win.

Anna Bland led Walnut Ridge with 14 points.

Ashlyn Abbott had 23 points to lead the Lady Falcons.
