Lawrence County dodged the bullet on Monday as a massive winter storm front moved across the area over the course of the day. Although heavy moisture was available in the front most of the area escaped the predicted one to four inches of snow and another possible inch of ice because the moisture was unable to condense and fall to the ground until late in the morning in most areas.

Renovation uncovers history, contributes to economy

Charles Snapp made an unexpected discovery last week while working on one of the storefronts he purchased and is renovating on Main Street in Walnut Ridge.

Hope Room has new location

One doesn't have to look far to find someone who either has cancer or who has a family member or friend with cancer. The Hope Room was established locally by the Lawrence County Walk of Hope organization to support those going through cancer and cancer treatments.
