Freeman will seek re-election

Lawrence County Judge Dale Freeman has announced his candidacy for re-election.

"I have enjoyed the past year as your county judge and feel we are moving in the right direction," he said in his announcement.

"We have been getting good gravel, with less expense, by buying in the county when at all possible." he said. "Even with high fuel and oil prices, we still managed to end the year in the black."

Freeman also noted that there is a tremendous amount of economic interest in Lawrence County at this time.

"Within the next couple months, there will be some exciting announcements concerning this issue," he said. "By working together with local, state and federal leaders, Lawrence County will continue to attract new industry."
