Hillcrest boys beat Norfork

The Hillcrest senior boys defeated the Panthers 55-45 to improve their conference record to 6-5 and their overall mark to 15-9.

Colman Evans led the Eagles with 18 points. Zach Doyle had 16 points, and Hunter Nunnally added 10.

In the senior girls game, Norfork handed the Lady Screamin' Eagles their third consecutive defeat, 54-43.

The Lady Panthers bolted out to a 33-15 halftime edge and led 44-26 after three quarters.

Sarah Saffell led Hillcrest with nine points, while Mackenzie Nunnally and Kellie Beasley each added eight points.

The Hillcrest senior girls fell to 16-10 overall and 5-6 in the conference.

Caitlyn Whitmire scored 13 points, and Natalie Glenn added 11 points, as the Hillcrest junior high girls defeated Norfork 43-27.

The junior Lady Eagles improved to 16-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play.


The Screamin' Eagles dropped a 59-49 decision to the Viola Longhorns in senior boys action on Jan. 17 at Lynn.

Evans scored a game-high 24 points for Hillcrest.

Viola defeated the Hillcrest senior girls 45-38.r

Lindsey Crews led the Lady Eagles with 14 points, while Beasley finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Hillcrest defeated Viola 40-20 in a junior contest.

Katelyn Richey led Hillcrest with 13 points, and Whitmire added 11.
