BR falls to Bay

The Bay Yellowjackets defeated Black Rock 65-31 in senior boys basketball action Friday night at Bay.

Tyler Newell led Black Rock with 16 points, and Sam Clem had 10 points for the Zebras.

Bay won a junior boys contest 41-15.

Three Black Rock players turned in outstanding performances in a losing effort, as the Lady Zebras fell to Bay 83-64 in senior girls basketball Thursday at Black Rock.

Christian Ervin scored 20 points and pulled down 19 rebounds, Cheyenne Vance finished with 17 points and 24 rebounds, and Kaylie Hammock totaled 13 points and 26 rebounds for Black Rock.

The Lady Zebras led 14-12 after one period of play, but fell behind 32-22 at the intermission. Bay extended its lead to 61-40 at the end of the third quarter.

In junior girls action, Bay defeated Black Rock 34-20.
