Lady Mustangs fall to Rivercrest

Rivercrest defeated the Hoxie Lady Mustangs 79-49 in 3A-3 basketball action Thursday night at Hoxie.

Rivercrest jumped out to a 29-12 lead in the first quarter, and led 45-24 at halftime and 67-41 after three quarters.

Cayley Rosson led Hoxie with 12 points, and Krista Coffell added 10. Brandy Alls and Courtney Sears each had eight points. Autumn Nelson scored five points, and Amanda Moskop had four. Grace Hall finished with two points.

The Lady Mustangs dropped to 6-5 in the conference and 8-8 overall.

Junior high

The Hoxie junior high girls fell to Rivercrest 43-5.

Katelyn Fitzgerald scored two points. Sequoia Irvin, Bekka Kopp and Devin Pollard each had one point for Hoxie.

Seventh Grade

Hoxie's seventh-grade girls defeated Rivercrest 19-14.

Kopp led Hoxie with six points. Kelsey Ward and Victoria Swartzlander had five points apiece. Erica Eubanks finished with two points, and Pollard added a free throw.
