The Black Rock Zebras defeated Weiner 46-37 in senior boys basketball Thursday night at Weiner.
Derrek Nunally led Black Rock in scoring with a game-high 16 points. Sam Clem had 13 points, and Cody Clairday finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
The Zebras improved to 1-3 in 1A-3 East conference play and 3-11 overall.
Senior girls
Weiner's Lady Cardinals jumped out to a big early lead en route to defeating Black Rock 71-27.
Kaylie Hammock had 13 points for the Lady Zebras, who trailed 46-16 at the half.
Bay
The Black Rock girls traveled to Bay on Dec. 13 and fell to the Lady Yellowjackets 65-27.
Bay also won a junior high girls contest 40-19.
