Hoxie boys earn
win over Harrisburg

The Hoxie Mustangs routed 3A-3 conference rival Harrisburg 68-39 in senior boys basketball action Thursday night at Hoxie.
Hoxie dominated the contest from the outset, leading 17-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Mustangs outscored the Hornets 23-7 in the second period to take a commanding 40-14 lead into the locker room at the break. Hoxie stretched their lead to 58-25 after three periods.
Jacob Defries scored 21 points, and Colton Watson had 18 to pace the Mustangs. Hoxie improved to 3-2 in conference play and 4-4 overall.
The Hoxie junior high boys defeated Harrisburg 45-35.
