S-H falls to Maynard

The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds and Maynard Tigers tangled on the basketball court last week.

Sloan-Hendrix's Madicyn Huddleston scored a game-high 33 points, including five-three pointers, but the Lady Greyhounds were edged by Maynard 69-68 at Maynard on Thursday.

The Lady Hounds led 17-12 after one quarter, 33-27 at halftime and 47-41 after three periods. Maynard's fourth-quarter rally was capped by Caitlin Rowe, who sank a free throw with 4.9 seconds left in the game to give the Lady Tigers the win.

Shayla Dickson added 13 points for Sloan-Hendrix.

The Maynard junior high girls defeated Sloan-Hendrix 39-33.

The Sloan-Hendrix senior boys hosted Maynard on Friday night at Imboden.

Three Maynard players scored in double figures as the Tigers defeated the Greyhounds 75-46.

Tyler Booth led Sloan-Hendrix with 16 points, and Daniel Rowsey added 11.

Sloan-Hendrix won a junior boys contest 58-53 in overtime.
