Walnut Ridge fell to Marmaduke in senior boys and girls basketball action last week.

The Marmaduke senior boys defeated Walnut Ridge 53-37 Friday night at Walnut Ridge.

The Greyhounds led 15-8 after one quarter, 31-17 at halftime and 32-23 at the end of the third quarter.

Zach Crisler led Walnut Ridge with 15 points.

Marmaduke also won a junior boys game 43-29.

Girls

The Lady Bobcats fell to 0-2 for the season after dropping a 49-30 decision to Marmaduke on Thursday night.

Audrey McElrath scored seven points for Walnut Ridge.

The Marmaduke junior girls defeated Walnut Ridge 57-31. Walnut Ridge won a seventh-grade girls game.

EPC

The Lady Bobcats opened the hoops season against East Poinsett County on Nov. 14 at Lepanto.

EPC jumped to a 21-9 lead after one quarter and led 34-22 at halftime and 56-33 after three periods en route to claiming a 64-45 victory.

The Walnut Ridge junior high girls earned a win, defeating EPC 37-31.
