Lady Cats fall to Piggott

The Piggott Lady Mohawks swept Walnut Ridge in 3A-Northeast volleyball action on Oct. 11 at Walnut Ridge. Scores of the games were 25-22, 25-16, 25-11.

For Walnut Ridge, Christin Holsapple was 12-of-12 from the service line, with one ace. Katie Lewis had 13 digs, six kills and three blocks. Ashlyn Cothern had 10 assists.

The Lady Bobcats fell to 7-7 in conference play and 11-7 overall.

Piggott won a junior high match 25-17, 25-16, and a junior B game 25-17.

The teams split two seventh-grade games, with Piggott winning 25-2, and Walnut Ridge taking the second game 21-11.
