BPW sets annual coffee

The Walnut Ridge chapter of Business and Professional Women will celebrate National Business Women's Week next week with a variety of activities.

A highlight of the week will be the annual BPW Coffee from 9-11 a.m. in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church. The public is invited to attend this event.

Club members are also planning to attend church with President Diana Shelton on Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. A wine and cheese social at the home of Peggy Williams on Tuesday and a movie and popcorn night at Shelton's home on Friday are also planned.

They will also attend chapel at Williams Baptist College on Wednesday and the state president's tea on Saturday at Choate Law Firm in Searcy.

New members are always welcome in the organization, which provides members with professional development programs, networking and participation in grassroots activism.

The Walnut Ridge BPW meets the third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital conference room. The meeting begins with dinner, followed by a presentation from a guest speaker.

Annual dues for the 2011-12 year are $20. For more information call Shelton at 870-759-0421.
