Hoxie girls fall to
Ridgefield Christian

Ridgefield Christian swept Hoxie in senior volleyball action Thursday at Hicks Gymnasium. Scores of the games were 25-11, 25-17, 25-23.

For Hoxie, Courtney Sears finished with eight digs, five kills, one assist and one block. Krista Coffell had two digs, five kills and a block. Maddison Woodard had four blocks and three kills. Cayley Rosson had five kills, one block and one dig.

Grace Hall had two blocks and a kill. Sarah Manis contributed 16 assists, while Autumn Nelson had two digs. Alexia Crow had five digs, and Hali Pratt had three digs.

Hoxie also won the junior high match 25-4, 25-18.

Emily Hatfield was eight-of-nine serving and had two kills. Krista Vankirk was 13-of-14 serving and had four assists. Chasity Kingsland had two kills, and Katelyn Fitzgerald recorded one kill. Sequoia Irvin was eight-of-nine serving and had four kills.

ASU Playday

Hoxie's senior high team competed at the ASU Playday on Saturday.

Stats for the day included: Manis was 18-of-20 serving and finished with 31 assists. Sears recorded 10 kills, four digs and a block. Coffell was nine-of-nine serving and had three digs. Woodard was 33-of-34 serving and had 12 kills and an assist. Rosson had eight kills and a block, and Hall had 10 kills. Nelson finished with eight digs, and Crow had five. Pratt added four digs, and Maria Fry was seven-of-seven serving.
