WR falls to McCrory
Nathan Hibbard Logan Best ran for two first-half touchdowns to lead the McCrory Jaguars to a 40-6 victory over Walnut Ridge in senior high football action Friday night at McCrory. McCrory scored one touchdown in the first quarter and two in the second to take a 24-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Jags put the game away with two more scores in the third period. McCrory was successful on all five two-point conversion attempts. Tyler Clement scored Walnut Ridge's touchdown on a four-yard run with 5:20 to play in the game to set the final score. Clement led the Bobcats in rushing with 64 yards on 11 carries. Rowdy Ditto led Walnut Ridge's defense with 13 tackles. Walnut Ridge is now 1-2 in 2A-3 conference play an 1-3 overall. The Bobcats host Salem on Friday, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Homecoming activities are scheduled to start at 6:30.
