Two from WR team run in 5k

Walnut Ridge High School cross-country team members Edward Harthorn and Doug Sosbee participated in a 5k run at Shelby Farms in Memphis on Saturday. The meet was sponsored by Christian Brothers University and featured 240 athletes from Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.

Harthorn placed 70th with a time of 20:50, and Sosbee finished 102nd with a time of 24:04. This is the first year that WRHS has competed in cross-country. The team is coached by Larry Treadway.
