The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats volleyball team remained undefeated in 2011 with a three-game sweep of Harrisburg on Thursday at Sharum Gymnasium. Scores of the games were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-22. The Lady Cats improved to 5-0 on the season.
Katie Lewis had seven kills and two blocks. Ashlyn Cothern was 10-of-10 serving. Brittney Dobbs had five aces, and Caroline Kelley had 15 digs.
In junior high action, Harrisburg defeated Walnut Ridge 25-23, 25-16. Harrisburg also won a junior B match 25-14.
The teams split a seventh-grade match, with Harrisburg winning 19-14, and Walnut Ridge taking a 25-9 victory.
The Lady Bobcats swept Cedar Ridge 25-18, 25-7, 25-14 on Aug. 30 at Walnut Ridge.
Kelley went 14-of-14 from the service line and had four kills. Christin Holsapple served eight aces, and Ashley Roacho had nine digs.
Walnut Ridge won a senior B game 25-9.
The Walnut Ridge junior Lady Cats won the first game against Cedar Ridge 25-23, but dropped the next two 16-25 and 17-25.
Walnut Ridge won a junior B game 25-19 and a seventh-grade game 25-8.
