Peanut company has field
day at Jackson farm

The Jackson farm, located near the Randolph County line, was the site of a peanut field day held Thursday morning and conducted by the Clint Williams Co.

Three generations of Jackson farmers, including Bob Jackson, son Steve Jackson and grandsons Steven and Will Jackson, were on hand for the field day. The event was held to both educate and generate interest in peanut farming.

Hoxie forms FD committee

The Hoxie City Council met in special session Friday to address the need to restructure a finance committee for the Hoxie Volunteer Fire Department.

Attack remembered 10 years later

Early/absentee voting
set for school election

Early and absentee voting for the Sept. 20 school election will begin Tuesday and continue through Monday, Sept. 19, according to the election proclamation published on page 6A of this week's The TD.
