Lady Cats win in close match against Hoxie

The Hoxie Lady Mustangs and Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats met in high school volleyball action on Thursday at Hoxie's Hicks Gymnasium.

In senior high action, the Lady Mustangs jumped on top with a 25-12 win the first game. Walnut Ridge rallied to tie the match with a 25-22 second-game victory. Hoxie regained the advantage with a dominating 25-9 win the third game.

The Hoxie Lady Mustangs opened the 2011 volleyball season with a victory at Cave City on Aug. 23.
