new staff members
The Imboden Area Charter School has a new teacher, as well as a new counselor, for the 2011-12 school year.
Becky Anderson will teach the fourth and fifth grades. She is no stranger to IACS, having served as the school board president for the past five years before resigning to apply for the teaching position.
In addition, she has over six years experience as a substitute teacher in kindergarten through middle school. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Williams Baptist College.
She is married to Steven Anderson, and they have two children, Zack and Hannah. The entire family enjoys performing at the Imperial Dinner Theatre.
Deborah Killion will be serving as the counselor. She has 16 years of teaching experience and holds a bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University in radio/television production with a minor in dramatic arts, as well as a bachelor's degree in elementary education and graduate hours in counseling psychology.
She publishes family-oriented films and is a published author of poetry. She also has written and published songs and is a writer, director, musician and singer and does "Radio Theatre" on her own internet radio station.
