Hillcrest's Billy Brannon has signed to play baseball for Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould. On hand for the signing were (front, from left): his parents, Deanna and Mark Brannon; and (back) CRC baseball coach Paul McFadden.

Billy Brannon, a 2011 graduate of Hillcrest High School has signed a letter-of-intent to play baseball for Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould.

Brannon was a two-year starter for the Screamin' Eagles. He hit over .300 in 2011 and led the team in sacrifice bunts.

"Billy improved each season and he became a solid defender. His batting average rose this year, and he was on base a lot," said Hillcrest baseball coach Andy Durham. "We wish him the best as he continues his career at CRC."

Billy is the son of Mark and Deanna Brannon of Lynn.
