BRHS presents athletic awardsThe Black Rock High School Athletic Banquet was held Tuesday, May 17. The athletes and their families enjoyed a barbecue dinner before the awards were presented.Athletes honored included:
Caleb McKenzie, most three pointers, best three-point percentage, most rebounds; Derrek Nunally, best free throw percentage, most assists. Ryan Roberts, Mr. Hustle and most improved; Shane Fleming, best field goal percentage; Matt Wilkins, most steals.
Tadd Fore, best free throw percentage, most assists, All-State; Tyler Roby, Mr. Hustle, most steals, All-Region; Khris Foster, most three pointers, outstanding defensive player; Hunter Horton, best field goal percentage, most rebounds; Joe Paul Carey, outstanding offensive player, All-Region, All-State Tournament; Sam Clem, best three-point field goal percentage; Tyler Newell, most improved, All-Region, All-State Tournament. Each team member was given a watch for earning the title of 1A State Runners-Up.

Cheyenne Vance, best field goal percentage, most rebounds, outstanding offensive and defensive player, and Lady Zebra Award; Erica Bass, most three pointers, best three-point percentage, most steals, most assists; Destyni Caldwell, best free throw percentage, most improved; Caylia Ervin, Miss Hustle.
Haley Slusser, most three pointers, best free throw percentage, most steals, most assists, outstanding offensive player; Megan Jones, best three-point percentage, best field goal percentage, Miss Hustle, outstanding defensive player; Devin Pickett, most improved, Lady Zebra Award; Christian Ervin, most rebounds.
