Lawrence County, as well as the surrounding area, has been bombarded with rain for so long that Tuesday's weather had many residents posting comical comments on Facebook about the mysterious bright object in the sky.

"Awoke this morning to a very bright light with a blue background - not sure what it is yet," Lloyd Clark of Powhatan posted.
