Hoxie beats Piggott, falls to BRNathan HibbardStaff Writer The Hoxie Lady Mustangs outscored Piggott's Lady Mohawks 13-11 in 3A-3 softball action on April 19 at Hoxie. Courtney Bennett was 2-for-2 at the plate with a pair of RBIs, while Gabrielle Keeling had a double. Courtney Sears was the winning pitcher, allowing eight hits and recording three strikeouts.
Hoxie dropped both games of a doubleheader at Black Rock on April 18. The Lady Zebras won the first game 16-4 and took the nightcap 14-3. Katelyn Ellis and Maria Fry each had two hits for Hoxie. Hali Pratt was the losing pitcher in the first game, and Fry took the loss in the second game.
