Hillcrest ladies beat S-H

Nathan Hibbard
Staff Writer

The Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles defeated Sloan-Hendrix 9-2 in 1A-2 East conference softball action last week at Imboden.

Samantha Blevins started in the circle and recorded 14 strikeouts and only one walk. She scattered five hits and allowed no earned runs over the seven inning game.

Kellie Beasley belted a two-run home run and an RBI triple. Lindsey Crews added two hits including a home run, and Sarah Saffell had two hits.

Hillcrest was playing without the services of third-baseman Shea Durham, who suffered a torn ACL on March 17. She was to have surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

The Lady Screamin' Eagles improved to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
