Mustangs defeat RC

The Hoxie Mustangs defeated Ridgefield Christian 13-2 in high school baseball action Friday at Jonesboro.

The Mustangs got offensive production from several players. Hunter Flippo finished with two hits, including a three-run homer, and four total RBIs. Tyler Clement had four hits and two RBIs. Thomas Kingsland had two hits and three RBIs, while Seth Hart had a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Ryan Vaughn tossed a two-hitter and struck out seven batters to earn the win on the mound. Hoxie improved to 3-4 on the season.

Piggott
Hoxie traveled to Piggott on Thursday and suffered a 10-4 setback to the Mohawks.

Flippo led the Mustangs with three hits and three RBIs.

Hart took the pitching loss.

Corning
The Mustangs hosted Corning on March 16 and dropped a 6-3 decision to the Bobcats. Thomas Kingsland had two hits for Hoxie, while Zach Crisler took the loss on the mound.
