Lady Cats beat Piggott

The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats opened the 2011 softball season with a 15-5 rout of Piggott on March 7 at Stewart Park.

Hannah Massey scored four runs for the Lady Cats. Amanda Emison batted 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Ashley Baker had two hits and scored a run, while Sabrina Knight had a hit and scored two runs, and Ashlyn Cothern had a hit. Whitney Ward, Brittney Dobbs, Mackenzie Britton and Allison Bridges each scored a run.

Massey started in the circle and recorded five strikeouts in five innings of work.
