Teams advance to
regional tourneys

Five Lawrence County senior high basketball teams have advanced to regional tournament play, which begins this week.
The Black Rock Zebras, 1A-3 East District champions, will compete in the Class 1A Region 2 tournament hosted by Izard County Consolidated at Brockwell. The Zebras will face Calico Rock tonight at 8:30.
In the girls bracket, Black Rock's Lady Zebras will play Calico Rock today at 4, while the Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles will play Crowley's Ridge Academy Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Hoxie Mustangs and Lady Mustangs advanced to the Class 3A Region 3 tournament, to be played at Bergman.
The senior boys will play Valley Springs today at 5:30 p.m., and the Lady Mustangs will face Valley Springs on Thursday at 7 p.m.
