Dalton Henson named
to All-State Jazz band



Dalton Henson (right), a junior at Hoxie High School, was named to the 2011 All-State Jazz Band. With him is guest clinician for the band, Michael Kocour of Arizona State University.
Dalton Henson, a junior at Hoxie High School, was named to the 2011 All-State Jazz Band recently

Auditions were held in Conway on Feb. 14, and Henson made first chair in the first All-State Jazz Band. He plays bass trombone.

The All-State Jazz Bands met in Hot Springs and began rehearsing on Feb. 16. They rehearsed all day and performed in concert on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The guest clinician for the band was Michael Kocour from Arizona State University.
