WR teams face off with CRA

The Walnut Ridge senior high basketball teams ventured to Paragould Friday to square off against Crowley's Ridge Academy.

The Lady Bobcats dropped a 62-55 nail-biter to the Lady Falcons. The game was tied 16-16 at the end of the first quarter before CRA gained a slight 30-29 advantage at halftime. The teams went into the fourth quarter knotted at 47-47.

Ashley Baker led Walnut Ridge with 26 points, and Daniel Vaughn added 12.

In senior boys action, CRA prevailed 70-55 over the Bobcats. Chris Dickson led the Cats with 21 points, while Payton Poole scored 13.
