Mustangs win one, lose one

The Rivercrest Colts jumped out to a 37-17 first-half lead en route to defeating the Hoxie Mustangs 69-35 in senior boys basketball Thursday at Wilson.

Coy Yasler led Hoxie with 12 points.

Corning

The Mustangs traveled to Corning on Jan. 25 and earned a 56-42 victory over the Bobcats.

Hoxie led 22-19 at the end of the first quarter, 40-27 at halftime and 46-36 heading into the fourth period.

Yasler led the Mustangs with 21 points, and Devin Roberts had 20.

Corning edged Hoxie 27-26 in a junior boys contest.
