Hoxie girls defeat BR

Hoxie's Lady Mustangs traveled to Black Rock on Jan. 17 and defeated the Lady Zebras 55-43 in senior high girls basketball action.

Hoxie trailed 10-7 at the end of the first quarter, but rallied to take a 25-20 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Cayley Rosson led the Lady Mustangs with 21 points, and Kelsey Lewis had 10.

For Black Rock, Haley Slusser tallied 16 points, while Christian Ervin finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Hoxie also won a junior high girls game 46-19.
