Bobcats drop game to Rector

A second-half rally propelled the Rector Cougars to a 66-57 victory over Walnut Ridge in front of a homecoming crowd at Walnut Ridge's Sharum Gymnasium Friday night.

The Bobcats held a 30-20 halftime advantage before the Cougars rang up 28 points in the third quarter to take a 48-47 lead. Rector continued their strong play in the final period, outscoring the Cats 18-10 to take the win.

Range Weeks led Walnut Ridge with 16 points. Payton Poole and Chris Dickson each added 13 points.

Rector won a junior boys game 46-39.

The senior Bobcats earned their first victory of the season with a 63-36 rout of Ridgefield Christian on Jan. 17.

Dickson, Kyle Johnson and Clay Hufstedler each had 10 points for the Bobcats.
