S-H boys post winNathan HibbardStaff Writer The Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds caught fire in the second quarter to pull away from the Weiner Cardinals for a 71-54 victory in senior boys basketball Friday night at Weiner. The Cardinals held a 9-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter until the Greyhounds began torching the nets in the second period. Chase DeJournett sank three three-pointers, Daniel Rowsey hit a pair of threes and Tyler Gillean recorded eight points, as the Hounds rolled up 35 points in the period to move out to a 43-23 halftime lead. For the game, Gillean finished with a game-high 19 points, while Rowsey finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. DeJournett finished with 11 points.
