WRHS to host homecomingWalnut Ridge High School will celebrate basketball homecoming in Sharum Gymnasium on Thursday and Friday against the Rector Cougars.
The Sweetheart Royalty will be announced between the girls' games on Thursday, and the Homecoming Royalty will be announced Friday between the boys' games.
A pep rally will be held Thursday afternoon for all students.
Beth Massey, a senior and the daughter of Cary and Raelyne Massey of Walnut Ridge, has been named queen of the WRHS basketball homecoming royalty. Her pages will be Korwin Johnson, son of Keith Johnson and Alison Oglesby of Walnut Ridge, and Kate Whitlow, daughter of Scott and Dena Whitlow of Portia.
Senior maids are Cheyanne Stayton, daughter of Jerry and Janie Stayton of Walnut Ridge, and Coda Pierce, daughter of Billy Pierce of Walnut Ridge and Christy Johnson of Springfield, Mo.
Christin Holsapple, daughter of Andy and Meredith Holsapple of Walnut Ridge, is junior maid; Audrey McElrath, daughter of Jeff and Barbie McElrath of Walnut Ridge, is sophomore maid; and Jodie Reithemeyer, daughter of Stephanie Reithemeyer of Walnut Ridge and the late Rusty Reithemeyer, is freshman maid.
Alex Williams, a senior, has been named king of the WRHS sweetheart royalty. He is the son of Jeff Williams and Michelle McCandless, both of Walnut Ridge. His pages will be Gaige and Alissa McCandless, the children of John and Michelle McCandless of Walnut Ridge.
Senior knights are Shane Duckworth, son of Jeff and Rhonda Duckworth of Walnut Ridge; and Richie Ward, son of Rich and Michelle Ward of Walnut Ridge.
Zach Carson, son of Derek Carson of Walnut Ridge and Melissa Phllips of Jonesboro, is junior knight; Hunter Ingram, son of Ron and Keri Ingram of Walnut Ridge is sophomore knight; and Cole Hicks, son of Tori and Misti Hicks of Walnut Ridge, is freshman knight.
